Ask anyone who has performed Hajj, and they will tell you the same thing: nothing in life compares to it. Not a promotion, not a wedding, not any worldly milestone. There is something about standing on the plains of Arafah, surrounded by millions of fellow Muslims, all dressed the same, all facing the same direction, all weeping and asking for the same mercy, that rearranges you from the inside.
For Pakistani Muslims, the desire to perform Hajj often lives quietly for years. Decades, sometimes. And when that moment finally arrives when the finances align, when the family gives its blessing, when something in the chest says now, the last thing you want is to lose your slot because of a missed deadline or a passport that expired three months too early.

That is what this guide is for. At Travel Mate Group, we have helped thousands of Pakistani pilgrims make this journey, and we know how much the details matter. So let us walk you through everything you need to know about Hajj 2027, from the very first step to the moment you board your flight.
Start Now. Seriously.

Hajj 2027 is not as far away as it feels. The Day of Arafah falls on Saturday, May 15, 2027, almost two full weeks earlier than Hajj 2026. That shift sounds small, but it compresses the entire administrative calendar significantly. Passports, biometrics, registrations, visa processing, pre-departure medical clearance, all of it has to happen faster than previous years.

And Pakistan’s quota is fixed. Saudi Arabia allocates us 179,210 slots. Once those are filled, there is no appeal process. No waiting list. The window simply closes.

People who start planning early do not just secure their spot, they approach the journey with greater calm. They learn the rituals without rushing. They build their savings gradually instead of scrambling. They arrive at Makkah with their heart ready, not just their suitcase.

What MoRA Has Already Announced for Hajj 2027

On June 9, 2026, Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony announced that mandatory pre-registration for Hajj 2027 would open in June 2026, right after the 2026 pilgrimage season wraps up. This is the earliest MoRA has ever launched a Hajj registration cycle, which tells you something about how seriously the government is taking the compressed timeline.

A few things worth knowing right now:

  • No payment is required at the pre-registration stage. You are simply securing your place in the applicant pool.
  • Pre-registered applicants will have the choice of joining either the government scheme or a private scheme once Hajj Policy 2027 is officially released.
  • Overseas Pakistanis are, for the first time under a formalised MoRA policy, required to pre-register through the official portal, not through their country of residence’s Hajj system.
  • The only hard requirement MoRA has confirmed so far: your Pakistani passport must be valid until at least November 16, 2027. One day short, and you cannot register.

Pre-registration is done exclusively through mora.gov.pk or hajjinfo.org. Do not register through any travel agent or third-party website, MoRA does not recognise those applications.

The Passport Issue – Do Not Ignore This

Check your passport expiry date right now. Not tomorrow. Now.

If your passport expires before November 16, 2027, you cannot complete Hajj 2027 registration. Full stop. NADRA’s standard renewal process currently takes four to six weeks, and that is when demand is normal. By July and August, as Hajj deadlines draw closer, the queues get longer and processing times stretch further. People who wait until August discover, too late, that their new passport will not arrive in time.

While you are at it, also check:

  • That your name in the passport matches your CNIC exactly, any mismatch must be corrected before visa processing begins, and corrections take additional weeks.
  • That your passport has at least two blank pages remaining, since Saudi Hajj visa stamping requires blank pages.
  • That there are no clerical errors in your personal details.

Go to your nearest NADRA facilitation centre with your original CNIC, current passport, and two recent passport-size photographs. Do not submit your Hajj pre-registration using a passport that is currently being renewed — wait for the new one, then register.

How to Book Hajj 2027 from Pakistan – Step by Step

The process is more straightforward than most people expect. Break it into stages, take it one step at a time, and it becomes very manageable.

  1. Check your eligibility

You need to be a Muslim adult, hold a valid Pakistani passport, and be physically and financially capable of performing Hajj. First-time pilgrims are typically given priority in the selection process, so if this is your first time, that works in your favour.

  • Sort your passport immediately

As covered above, check the expiry date, check the name spelling, check the blank pages. If anything needs fixing, do it now while there is still time.

  • Complete NADRA biometric verification

Visit a designated NADRA facilitation centre to complete biometric registration linked to your CNIC. This is required under both the government and private schemes. For overseas Pakistanis, NADRA operates centres in London, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, New York, Toronto, and other major cities. If none of these are accessible, contact your nearest Pakistan High Commission.

  • Pre-register at mora.gov.pk or hajjinfo.org

This is the step most people underestimate. Pre-registration does not commit you to a package or require any payment, it simply places you in the official applicant pool before the formal application window opens. Pilgrims who skip this step miss the priority window entirely, and quota slots fill within days once formal applications open.

  • Decide: Government scheme or private scheme

Once Hajj Policy 2027 is released, expected sometime in late 2026 or early 2027, you will choose your route. This is the right moment to speak with Travel Mate Group about private package options, compare what fits your health, budget, and travel preferences, and make an informed decision before the window closes.

  • Submit your formal application and first instalment

Government scheme applications go through designated bank branches or the MoRA portal. Oversubscribed slots are decided by a computerised ballot called Qura Andazi. Private scheme applications are submitted through MoRA-licensed operators like Travel Mate Group on a first-come, first-served basis, no ballot. Missing instalment deadlines means losing your slot without refund of any amount already paid.

  • Attend pre-departure training

Travel Mate Group conducts dedicated orientation sessions covering Hajj rituals, logistics, health requirements, and spiritual preparation. These are not optional extras, they make a real difference, especially for pilgrims performing Hajj for the first time.

  • Receive your documents and prepare to travel

Once approved, your Hajj visa, flight schedule, accommodation details, and group identification will be issued. Review everything carefully and flag any discrepancy to us immediately. Departure flights operate from Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta, and other designated embarkation cities across Pakistan.

Which Package Is Right for You?

Pakistan’s Hajj quota is split between the government scheme and private operators. For Hajj 2026, the government scheme held 119,210 seats and private operators had 60,000. The 2027 split has not been confirmed yet.

Government Scheme

More affordable, state-managed, and historically more reliable, particularly after the 2025 private operator crisis in which over 67,000 Pakistani pilgrims could not perform Hajj due to operator failures. Government packages for Hajj 2026 ranged from around Rs 1.15 million (long package, 40-45 days) to Rs 1.2 million (short package, 20-25 days). Accommodation and transport are assigned by MoRA, with less flexibility. Best for first-time pilgrims and those prioritising cost over comfort.

Private Packages – Travel Mate Group

Travel Mate Group offers three tiers of private Hajj packages:

  • Economy

Good for physically fit pilgrims comfortable with walking distances. Accommodation is at a moderate distance from Haram. Shared transport and standard meals included.

  • Standard

The most popular choice for families and first-timers. A solid balance of proximity, comfort, and guided support without the premium price tag.

  • Premium / VIP

Close-proximity hotels in both Makkah and Madinah, private transport, enhanced meals, and a dedicated support team on the ground. Particularly suited to elderly pilgrims, women, and those with health conditions that make long walks difficult.

Private packages for Hajj 2026 started at around Rs 1.375 million, with premium options at Rs 1.8 million and above. Confirmed 2027 pricing will be shared by Travel Mate Group as soon as Hajj Policy 2027 is released.

Things Worth Knowing Before You Book

  • Only book through licensed operators. Check hgo.hajjinfo.org for the official list of MoRA-approved Hajj Group Organisers. Travel Mate Group is fully licensed. If an operator is not on that list, walk away, no matter how attractive the price.
  • Understand what is included in your package. Distance from Haram, meals, transport, guide availability, medical support, read everything before you sign. What sounds fine in a brochure can feel very different after 12 hours of travel and 40-degree heat.
  • Work on your physical fitness. Hajj requires serious physical stamina. There is no shortcut. Start walking regularly months before departure. If you have a health condition, speak to your doctor well in advance and ensure your vaccinations are up to date per Saudi requirements.
  • Pack light and pack smart. Comfortable footwear is non-negotiable. Prescription medication, a small first-aid kit, simple modest clothing, and enough room in your bag for the prayer mat and ihram are the essentials. Leave the rest at home.
  • Learn the rituals before you arrive. Travel Mate Group’s orientation sessions are designed to give you this foundation. Coming to Hajj knowing the order of rituals, the meaning behind each one, and the duas associated with each step transforms the experience entirely.

The First Step Is the Hardest – Take It Today

Hajj does not change people because the flights are long or the rituals are physically demanding. It changes people because of what it asks of the heart. To stand before your Creator with nothing but your sincerity, stripped of title and status, equal to every other pilgrim in white, that is the transformation. And it begins long before you arrive.

It begins with a decision. To answer the call. To start preparing. To trust that if you take the first step, the rest will follow.

Travel Mate Group is here to make sure the logistics never get in the way of that. We handle the paperwork, the packages, the preparation, so your heart stays free to focus on what this journey is really about.
